  1. Where are the Sydney Visitor Centres located?
    There are two Sydney Visitor Centres centrally located in Sydney’s popular precincts at The Rocks and Darling Harbour.


  2. When are the Sydney Visitor Centres Open?
    We open 7 days a week 363 days per year (that’s every day except Christmas Day and Good Friday)

    Opening times for both Centres are 9.30am to 5.30pm 
    and close at 4pm on New Year's Eve.




  3. Are the SVCs accessible for visitors using wheelchairs?
    Yes – the centres are fully accessible.


  4. Can I book accommodation and tours with the Sydney Visitor Centres?
    Yes you can. The Sydney Visitor Centre has a wide range of Accommodation and Touring options to suit everyone.

    Yes – we offer a select range of souvenir items and an exclusive range of merchandise for The Rocks and Darling Harbour


  7. Can I buy tourism transport tickets and sightseeing passes at the Sydney Visitor Centres?
    Yes – the SVCs sell a variety of tourist transport tickets including bus, coach and rail.  We also sell a variety of sightseeing passes – a great way to experience Sydney’s tours and attractions.

  9. Can I buy maps at the Sydney Visitor Centres?
    Yes – we sell a wide range of maps and guidebooks for Sydney, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

    Yes, we offer a comprehensive range of brochures as well as a wide variety of maps and guidebooks for sale.


  11. Do the SVCs provide products and services that are suitable for all budgets?
    Yes – we cater for all visitors from budget backpackers to travellers who wish to experience Sydney in luxury & style.


  12. Do the Sydney Visitor Centres sell any membership cards?
    Yes – we sell YHA membership cards for international travellers only.


  13. Can I get an information starter kit about Sydney?
    Yes – by completing a Visitor Information/Subscription Form. That way we can send information to you prior to your arrival.


  14. Where is the Rocks Market and when is it held?
    The Rocks Market operates on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 5pm. It is located at the Sydney Harbour Bridge end of George St.


  15. What is The Rocks Pub Tour?
    A walking tour with a difference, that takes you on a journey to some of Sydney’s oldest pubs. To find out more visit www.therockspubtour.com

  20. How can I walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge?
    The entry point is on Cumberland St in The Rocks, opposite the Australian Hotel. Refer to The Rocks map available at the Sydney Visitor Centres and follow the dotted lines.
